""Wireless Network Connection"/"Local Area Network" doesn't have a valid IP configuration"
Okay. I've been Ad-Hocing my Cable connection by wireless from my new computer to my old (Both Win 7). It was working absolutely fine, then I went to make dinner and when I came back, no internet(connection:yes, but no internet). There were absolutely NO
active processes whatsoever except Process Explorer and a few svchosts that I know better than to suspend. What the heck happened in those 20 minutes? Now it won't even work if I directly plug the cable in. My new computer still connects fine. Also, now it's
calling it an Unidentified Network and Public when it was set on Home. I can't change that either, for some unknown reason.
Now I know this question has been asked many times before, but my case must be somehow different. I've lurked through about 20 threads on this subject, and I've tried ALL the "solutions" to no avail. In total I've:
Disabled/Enabled my NIC (Realtek) and my Wireless (Netgear) 15 times
Run the Trouble shooting Wizard ??? times (I lost count)
Rolled back and Installed Drivers from Manufacturer's Website 2 times
Slept/Woken My Computer 2 times
Rebooted my computer 8 times
Creating a new Ad-Hoc network 3 times
Unbinding/Rebinding IPv4&v6 2 times (1 each separately, 1 both)
ipconfig/release & /refresh 4 times
Completely Shut Down, Unplug Both Computers & Modem, then restart 2 times
Disabled Bonjour Service (##ID....etc)
Disabled/Port Opened/IP Allowed through both firewalls 4 times
and even done a System freakin' Restore twice!!! (3 days and 5 days)
So, what do I do now?
Also, safeboot is not an option, because internet would be pointless w/out my 3D graphics card running. However, if there is a way to use my GC in safe mode, by all means, please tell me how. That's fine too.

Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.189.214(Preferred) is the problem. Basically, the DHCP doesn't assign IP to the wirless NIC. Try to disable the security on the wireless router for a test. or check this troubleshooting:

What wireless router? I'm just using an Ad-Hoc network from New comp w/ built-in wireless card to my old comp w/Netgear dongle(USB). Also note that direct connection to Cable Modem does not work anymore, as I said in my question. Again, also note that every
thing was working fine for a few days, then it suddenly failed.
That link explains what to do for XP and earlier. I need 7 instructions, please.
